“Optimum Nutrition” is a key element in raising and maintaining a healthy pet. As owners, we are tasked with providing the right amount of food that meets energy needs as well as all of the essential nutrients required to sustain a healthy life. This can be much more difficult than one might suspect.

Our pets used to have fewer cat and dog health problems and be able to regulate food intake and maintain normal weight naturally. Looking at our many domestic breeds of dogs and cats today, we can predict that at a minimum 30 – 40% will eat too much and become overweight or obese. Therefore, determining proper pet nutrition, what to feed, the right amount to feed, and how often to feed may actually require some additional thought beyond sizing up your puppy, buying a dish to match their paw size, grabbing a well known brand of food off the shelf and filling Bowser’s bowl to the brim each day.

There are many factors that must be considered in the process of selecting the right diet in order to feed your pet optimally rather than just meeting their minimal pet nutrition needs.

Testimonials

Dear VetBalance,

My 11 year old yellow Lab "Turk" has had trouble getting around for the past two years. The veterinarian says he has severe hip dysplasia and arthritis in his lower back. I have tried numerous medications and products but they just don't seem to help. I thought I was going to have to put him down.

A friend of mine told me to try your product and I am overwhelmed by the difference. Turk is back on my weekly fishing jaunts and rides everywhere with me again. Thanks for giving me back my dearest friend.
